March 9th - Maple Syrup 101 - This super sweet event is one you don’t want to miss. Join us as we discover the entire syrup making process. By the time you leave, you’ll have gotten a chance to ‘tap’ a maple tree, taste some maple sap, and watch the sap boil down to syrup. And… there may or may not be pancakes involved. Grab your friends and come on out for this sweet day at Camp! Sign-up by 3/2/2023.
April 13th - Rad Ropes and Reels - Learn how to tie knots and then see how you can use those knots to fish! We will be learning to tie some useful knots that can be used in a variety of settings. We will then move over to the lake to do some catch and release fishing. Join us as we show you the ropes of fishing, knots, and cordage! Sign-up by 4/6/2023.
May 11th - Brilliant Biotics and Boats - You might know how to swim, but do you know how to paddle? Join us for a fun morning where we dive into all things water-related! We’ll rotate through stations where we discover how to properly canoe and how to identify some common amphibians found in the Camp stream. Please wear footwear (sandals/water shoes/rainboots/etc.) that you’re comfortable wearing in the stream. Grab your friends and come on out for canoe games and a fun stream lesson! September 7th - Flora, Fauna, and Foraging - Hiking in the woods is fun, but it's even more fun when you can recognize what’s around you. For this Outdoor Ed. we will be looking at common flora and fauna around Camp and how to identify them. We will also look at everyday things in nature that you could eat! Once you know what to look for, you might even find them in your backyard! Sign-up by 8/31/2023.
October 12th - Optimum Orienteering Odyssey - In our day and age, we have our phones and GPS to tell us where we are and where we are going, but what would you do if you didn't have those to tell you? I can tell you. You would be coming to Camp to learn all about how to navigate with a map and compass! Sign-up by 10/5/2023.
November 9th - Bountiful Blazes and Breads - Have you ever built and started a campfire all by yourself? Many campers (and parents!) are familiar with the process, but haven’t actually done it themselves. Now is your chance! Join us for a morning of outdoor living skills where we work together to learn, build, and cook over a fire. Sign-up by 11/2/2023.
