North Lodge
The North Lodge at Camp Swatara is considered by many to be our "Camp Hotel." This facility has 10 bedrooms that each sleep up to 5 people (double bed, queen bed, and one bunk over the double), private bathrooms in each room, a first floor lounge, and a second floor conference room. There is a small kitchen for snacks, but groups are not permitted to do meal cooking in this facility. Groups must do a food service package.
It provides a natural, relaxed, and prayerful atmosphere for retreats, seminars, meetings, leadership training's, and more, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.The North Lodge is available for retreats during the fall, winter, and spring months (Sept. 1-May 31). During the summer months it serves as Camp Swatara's infirmary for the resident camping program.
West Cabins
If you prefer a more rustic setting, a variety of cabins are available in the West Area. Currently the West Area is home to 4 winterized double cabins (up to 18 people) 1 winterized single cabin (up to 8 people) and 2 non-winterized cabins. All cabins provide bunk bed style sleeping. The 4 large winterized cabins are equipped with bathrooms and showers, are handicapped accessible, and are available in the winter, spring, and fall. Non-winterized cabins are available in the spring and fall. Bathrooms are available in the West Lodge for these seasonal cabins.
West Retreat
The West Retreat is a self-contained retreat facility with 5 bedrooms that sleep up to 5 people in each (one double bed, one bunk over the double, and one set of bunk beds in each room), group hall bathrooms, a medium sized meeting room, and a nice kitchen.
West Lodge
An ample porch, large meeting room, kitchen and beautiful forest views highlight the West Lodge building. Available in winter, spring and fall, this winterized facility is an ideal place for medium and large retreats and conferences.
The West Lodge at Camp Swatara Contains:
One large meeting room
Large kitchen stocked with utensils
Indoor rest rooms with private showers
Two smaller meeting rooms (1 room has 5 single beds for back up lodging)
East Cabins
The East cabins provide bunk bed style sleeping accommodations. 5 cabins sleep up to 20 and are winterized with electric heating and wood stoves. The 3 un-winterized cabins sleep 8 to 10. A centralized bathhouse is located nearby.
East Lodge
The East Lodge is an ideal location for large group gatherings and is centrally located in the East Area. Equipped with a dining hall, great room, and a smaller gathering area, the space is perfect for meetings, activities, and meals for groups both large and small. The East Lodge also houses the camp’s Executive and Main Office. This winterized facility is available for use with other retreat facilities or for day use events and banquets.
