2-Part-Training
Part 1: Climbing Tower Training
This training is for those 18 years or older. If you enjoy the outdoors, working with others to overcome obstacles, and are comfortable working at heights, then we would love for you to join us! Camp staff will train you to have the skills needed to be a volunteer challenge course instructor here at Camp Swatara! During training we will cover knot tying, rappelling, equipment used, group instruction, standard practices and more. Lodging and meals are provided. There is no cost other than a small commitment to volunteer with 3 or more groups throughout the year. Training will occur rain or shine.
Part 2: Adventure Games Training
This training is for those 18 years or older. If you enjoy the outdoors, and working with others to overcome challenges, then we would love for you to join us! Camp staff will train you to have the skills needed to be a volunteer Adventure Games Instructor. This will include safety, storylines for the low-course elements, and tips and tricks for facilitating Adventure Games. There is no cost to this training. This event is rain or shine.
